You need to make a left turn, Troll, and check the place out.

Well I got up early today, finished my chores, did my errands, and had lunch. Then I took the bike from the shed, fired it up, and went for a ride, sorry no pictures so perhaps I never went and just dreamed it. I did stop at the outlook and it was packed with people looking at the lake, one lady was amazed she could see the other shore, then had to tell her it was not the other shore it was the off laying ice, as of today the ice is still not off the lake. I only put on about 120km but nothing fell off, nothing stopped working, so we are ok. Just saw I was missing one bolt off the windscreen so will replace that in the morning. But we can now ride all day and being retired I can ride like the TrollMan........oh camera need to put the camera on board.....

I'm thinking that Ratman's snow will be melting soon...and then the floods will wash away all the remaining trash on the roads. It got up to 82° F today. I went for a little ride up to Red Wing MN.  (where they make the shoes) and then across the river and back down the Wisco side. About 190 miles, all together. I finally took the winter front off, and midway through I switched to my mesh jacket!...On the way back toward LaX, I stopped to take some pics of a place called Prairie Moon...strange "sculpture garden and museum" oh yeah, proof:

Garage might get a little crowded. Driveway's pretty small, but I think we could make it work..You won't be able to bring your bike inside during the winter, though

He won't need to bring it into YOUR house, Troll.... He'll have plenty of room in his 50' trailer...

Sorry I didn't see your posts until now.  I've been out riding motorcycles all day! ;D

;) we would have the garage though...that would work......just need you to have it heated and of course we will need a big screen TV and fridge out there too..........

Well Kingston is too close to family and that would be problems. Now on the other hand I had time to think of this idea.......I now have no schedule, no ties as such to bind me here, I could if I had a friend who owned some land, or a place to park a small trailer......like a small 18ft fifth wheel trailer, and I could hook up to some water and electricity, and it was out of the way, like say behind a business in a small town, and then I could be like a night watchman and then during the day I could be out riding and having fun........little or no cost to me......think it might be a good idea.
Or if I knew someone with a nice driveway and had a garage I could park in their driveway and if he is not out at meetings and being an activist, or at his part time job we could just hang out in his backyard and play with the dogs and from WI it is not that far a ride to North Bay, so I really have 2 options.....to park my trailer.......

OH this morning it was not a nice thing to wake up to.......I am really thinking of moving south now, like to Windsor or even to Fort Erie, but man to move that far south will be hard on me.....but if it avoids this.........I knew we should not listen to that groundhog.....

See, Ratman, what you need is a SOUTHERN house and a NORTHERN house.  You can spend the summers UP NORTH in North Bay, where you can stay cool, and then WINTER in the south with much better winters....  Someplace like Kingston or something.....

We have decent weather here. It's still kind of cold to ride in the mornings but I don't have that far so I ride anyways usually. But, 40°F is kind of cold in the mornings. Definitely wakes you up. Not as bad as you up North, but cold enough. In the afternoon and evenings when it's in the 60's is great weather for riding.

But is Rochester not in NORTHERN NY state........now PC will be all over you to move south......like to Poughkeepsie...... ::)

The moves you propose will not help! We have snow in Rochester, NY this morning. There was also snow in the Hudson Valley, much further south.

Ugh!

I was ordering something off the internet last night and the young lady, (very pleasant she was) was located in WI.  So I asked her if she knew a person I knew from the motorcycle forum I was a member of. I told her that he was a nice older gentleman, looked sort of like a thin Santa Claus type of person, but then she did not know you, and more to my disappointment she did not even have a cheese head hat. But she had a bunch of cheese head stuff. Her and her husband have a Honda Magna 750, or she thinks it is, so if you see people on one say to them........

Fun driving in the snow eh!

I had to go to Racine yesterday. It's 225 miles each way. Drove a 2015 Chevy Traverse down and picked up another one with more goodies...same car, but more stuff. It was raining and about 35 when I left here, and by the time I got 50 miles away, it was snowing, and it kept showing all the rest of the way, and all the way back, except for a couple of miles near Milwaukee where it was clear. The readout on the dash of both vehicles said it was between 33-38 deg. all the time. It snowed enough over night that my deck was covered this morning, and it kept it up most of the morning. The sun came out about 11:00, and now it's 50. Going up into the mid 50s to 60 over the next couple days...Winter is still coming to us courtesy of a Canadian low sitting over St. John's Bay.

Told you it was gone, this was today at 1330 and it was cold outside.......from the lower back door into the yard....it did stay for a few hours some still around but it will be gone hopefully by morning unless the temps drop again......Monday we are supposed to break the 50 *F mark......and get to 52*F
