Right rear turn signal not working

Just changed the turn signal bulbs and bingo! Problem solved! Thanks guys, really appreciate the advice! Will be on here again should I have any more issues!

One ground for both sides...probably the bulb...nothing lasts forever, and 12 years for a bulb is a pretty good run. No CFLs here, just good old Edison tech.

I had tha same problem, it was a problem with the contact between the bulb and the socket itself. Clean both with a scotch brite pad, added a dab of silcone dielectric grease and the problem was solved. Might give it a try.

Hey everyone-

Just today i went to turn on my right turn signal on my 1999 Drifter 1500 and the front signal turned on very rapidly, and so did the indicator light below the speedometer, but not the rear right turn signal. I am guessing this is a ground wire problem, but where would i look on the bike to resolve this issue? I already tried looking at the fuse box, and replacing the fuse did nothing, but beyond this step i am lost. I am worried going to a mechanic will result in them saying i need a full re-wire costing hundreds, when i hope this is something i can fix easy and quick.

If anyone knows where the ground wires would be for the turn signals i would love to know so i can check them myself before shelling out hundreds to a mechanic.
