No trick... I removed mine because they were loose, and I put some super glue on the rubber to keep them from turning around. Mine might be harder to remove, now since I did that. Maybe somebody did that to yours before you got the bike...

To remove the stem, pop the plastic cap off the side closest to the fender, remove the nut; then slide stem out, most don't slide easily but they do with some lube and persuasion.

Lots of light rearward might prevent you from being run over by some cell phone crazy cager.

I have been tugging and yanking and yanking and tugging but that doesnt seem to be getting it off. Before I resort to explosives is there a trick I'm missing?

2057 is the a popular choice for easy upgrade. 1157 is stock, I believe. The Brake light brightness (lumen)is the same, just more contrast from brake to tail than the 1157. The 2357 keeps the same tail lumen's but steps up the brightness of the brake light at a cost of fewer hours before it burns out. I run a 2357, because I have the old "Beehive" Harley tail light and it is very small; I just change the bulb every season. I just want lots of light behind me, too many idiots have drivers licences.

2057....standard bulb for an older car, not a wedge bulb...The LED spinner light you have is not only feeble, but illegal, as well

The turn signal problem was due to a blown fuse. Always the last place you would look. The turn signal lights don't give off much light but until I figure out something they will do.

Do you know what the bulb number is for the brake/running light?

I actually have 2 questions.

1. I am now using turn signals which are part of my license plate so I want to remove the entire stem connection from the fender support rail. (see attached photo)

2. Everyone (like I care) complains that my running/brake light isnt bright enough. I currently have an after market light that spins in a circle. What alternatives might there be with only changing the bulb?
