Clarification of ECU Fault Code instructions

Checking my ECU codes (Thanks Chief for the PDF)

1 Kill switch on
2 Turn on ignition switch
3 The FI light should turn on for 1-2 seconds, then turn off

However what confuses me is - when I ground terminal #37, no error code blinks .

I turned the Rider Down sensor upside down and grounded again , expected Fault #31 - but no blinks .

I put the Ohm meter on my ground wire , it is fine .

I used bottom left of the 8 pin block , with the longer pin blocks to the right, as per PDF

Anyone experienced this ?

Just to make it interesting - it is starting again, Wed yes Thu/Fri no, Sat/Sun yes,  Mon untried, Tue/Wed yes
