Visually a huge difference to my eyes, but on paper only a slight change.......

Well I am going to ship them to GB so he can play with them, I forgot to mention that this build I decided to go with the handle bars off a 2017 Vulcan Classic, bars are a lot different then the drifter bars, I have mounted them with the stock risers and just looking at the set up it just might be the ticket......once I get the rear shock in, the tires back from the rubber being replaced and the spoke covers on and then the wheels mounted and the seat frame from the welders and the seat from upholstery I can check out the bars for fitment.......

Remove metal from the bottom would be better but will shorten your rise a little.

Can prolly ship them to me cheaper than buying a lathe....

Or chuck them in a drill, and run them against a sander.....

GB I guess I could if I had a lathe then turn the cap down a bit then re drill the holes that hold it in place, because it is really close, so I'll go lathe shopping in the morning.....not sure if any of the stores around here carry desk top lathes.....

So just mount them opposite, pointing forward, and they shouldn't hit the speedo housing - I don't see a problem here.... LOL.

Looking at the picture, the knob on the end looks really big-- how much is it hitting the housing?? could put that cap in the lathe, and turn about 1/2" off the end, would that do the trick??

OR_Seedman: once again you have proven correct, I mounted these last night on Pearl (Raven) and they looked like they just might fit, and it was a very close fit, but once you get everything in place yup it dos tap the dash housing enough to make it not a good thing. So for the rest of the build and till I find what I am after I will use the stock risers, and you know with the handlebars I have picked I just might not need the high risers.
Welder dropped by with my tacked seat frame and we get the final adjustments made, he is going to finish welding iit tonight and we came up with a very novel idea for the frame so it shall be done....lol.....
