Looking to buy or find out how to get the serrated flex cover for my 1500 Kawasaki Drifter. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'll keep an eye out for the serrated shields , for you Ratman .

Ratman just to clarify some confusion , if there was any ? The only serrated covers I have found ( not road house ) are 13 3/4 " long . I have a duel road house exhaust still sitting in the box in my basement . Maybe I should put that on my winter project list this year  ;)

My plan was never to break up the system, so I am going to keep working on finding myself the correct set up and the one that looks right at the top.
I am sure it has the bafle in it as I have yet to take it apart.
I want the system to go to a good home and to the person who will appriciate it and now to figure out the right price or trade or both.....

Ratman: Nice RH for a 1500.
On the down pipes, your photos show the alternate to the hex at the top. That's how my black RH is. Based on checking around at Drift-In, all the other RH pipes I saw, either on 800s or 1500s had the hex. So, thinking you shouldn't break apart that set up just to have some serrated covers. Should be able to fabricate or find flex pipe to run over the down pipes on your 800 RH.
That RH for the 1500 looks nice and should go to a good home for the right price.
Other: Does if have a baffle in it? Oddly enough, I standby the fact that a RH on an 800 needs  a baffle. If I remember right though, neither Greenbarn or Pilgrim's RH on their 1500s had baffles and they sounded fine.

CDNRatMan

Not a big deal thanks for checking.

ok Ratman so I just measured the serrated heat shields I have for a certain " Santa " ... LOL ... and sorry to say they only measure 13 3/4 " so what I had in mind for you may not work  :P unless there's a way to make up the difference with the heat shield ?

You think I would do that to anyone D1, I want no body parts, perhaps, the cost of my motel room at Drift in oh and some gas money, as a teaser, a left hand tool box, Memphis shades brackets MEM9891, what other projects do I need parts for........
already found the red lens for the back....so that is done once they get here do that mod........

Ratman when ever I get back to the homestead I'll measure a set of serrated shields I have been storing .

Troll I'm only guessing here but with a hot item like this , Ratty has in hand , I'm figuring he can own someone's body part when said and done . Hahaha

I posted the headlight on the Facebook page. The guy looking for it said all he needs is the housing, not all the goodies that go with it....Sooo, you have a price in mind for the 1500 exhaust????

I got it from Marcel, and thinking it might fit, but not the case so I am going to figure this out. I also have that headlite assembly....

Ratty just out of curiosity , how long are the serrated heat shields on this exhaust ? I may have a plan for ya .

Oh don't misunderstand me I can make the heat shields fit the 800, but the 800 solid heat shields that I have will not mate up with the header pipes off the 1500, they have a different bend and length to them. I have the stock system and the RH I am currently running and so not really wanting to ruin a completed set up for the sake of getting the serrated heat shield as RH are getting harder to find.  So if the lad interested in them does not call me back soon then they will be sold. Then again if not then perhaps I'll swap them out......

Drift1

Those serrated shields won't fit over your system ? HHMMMM I figured they would . I would think just the mounting points would be different . So is this a complete system for the 1500 ? If so that may look really nice on my Ruby .

I picked this set up this summer, they look the same as jmbo, other then the end at the top of the header pipe, these sort of twist on and then the hose clamp holds them in place.

Drift1

Ratman when you say " same system " are you reffering to just the serrated pipe ?

"I prefer peace, but if trouble must come, let it come in my time,so that my children can live in peace."

Thomas Payne

CDNRatMan

jmbo, that is the same system I picked up this summer, and today I now know that the set up will not fit an 800, I have someone interested in the complete system so I am going to wait for their response, I really like the serrated heat shields but my solid ones will not swap out so not going to break up the set.

DC were you able to find a price on them?

I looked, but I didn't readily find any prices on them.  There's not a lot of info on the website ethier.
