Finally got the Tsukayu Hard Saddle bags back.  Project complete!

Now that is an awesome looking bike!  Never thought the bags would look that good; incredible job.

Congrats but be fore-warned, your bike will be an attention get'ter so say goodbye to privacy :-)

I've just purchased a pair of hard saddle bags: they're from the 50's and are so called "bubble bags".
I am most grateful to Mr. Zoar, who helped me out shipping them to my country. Thanx bud!
Now I'm gonna fix some minor issues for one of said bags and then I'll red paint them.
Meanwhile, I'm gonna fab, together with a local bender, the new saddle bag brackets (BTW: many credits to Mr. Seedman, who helped me out with it).

Getting close.  The bike and bags are repainted.  The bags will sit for a couple weeks to let the clear cure.  When I get the bags back I'll put the side rails and top rails on.

LOL  I just saw the question to my comment.  What I was asking with the 'Crystal decanters'  remark was what are you putting in your bags that is so sensitive to being jarred?   Put a towel or some foam if need be and 90 percent of whatever your hauling will be fine.   Older hardtail baggers frieght survived just fine.

Nice bags, good size too. You managed to keep them tucked in. I also had to modify my back lights to make the bags fit. Looking forward to see those bags painted.

Mine are just the drifter lights with the Caddy Lens, greenbarn mod uses Harley lights that are more robust.

You could make brackets for them. Mine hang from the seat but still don't touch the fender. Where there's a will there's a way. Those are bigger bags but still doable.

I see a lot of references to "shakin the freight" on hard mounting saddlebags to the crash bar.  Many older bikes had rigid rears and this wasn't an issue.   What are you hauling?   Crystal decanters??
