Ahhh the beautiful gooseberry  ;) Excellent choice choosing a Drifter . You'll find to love this bike just like the rest of us on the forum . It takes time, and a whole lot of patience , to find those hard after accessories , but personalization is the funniest part of owning these rare machine's . Enjoy and welcome to the forum . I've attached a couple different set ups I used .

I never even left here, was raining in the morning and well into the day at 1400 I called a no show, I am a Candy A$$ 5 hours in the rain, just did not excite me, and then Sunday was forecast for rain all day ...so another 5 hours in the rain......I could not subject my old and tired bike to that kind of treatment......
My B-I-L thinks he saw a Drifter there, but he was not sure and it was black not Gooseberry.

Well... That was an adventure. Never had a Ride for Dad weekend quite like that...  Rode the 2+ hours to Kingston on Friday in torrential rain, and woke up ride day with the stomach flu the kids had the previous week.

I made it to the parade but that's it...  No poker run, straight back to my buddy's house and slept for a few hours, leathers, boots and all.

A few of the boys rode home with me when I was well enough and got a bit of a ride in at least...  And in the end I raised my personal best for prostate cancer research so not all was lost. Didn't get to meet any forum members/Drifter riders, sadly, but that's just an excuse for more rides this summer!

I totally have schedule mixed up, I am finished early tomorrow so will try to meet up with you guys at some point.

Thanks guys...  I'm mechanically confident, I would gut a house and rebuild it without hesitation, and I'm picky like that, but bodywork is something I never got into.  There are tools and techniques there that I just don't have or know about. I didn't have much to lose, and I figure the bottle says it's the best so who am I to call it a liar?!

pcarrell

That cover polished up real nice!

CDNRatMan

GB all the guys it vintage cars and trucks, an such swear by Mothers and it is good.

;) ok if it does not work then please get one of them there neoprene face covers and wear that when you are around your bike and me, if it works you can show your face. I have lots of acquaintances, in Kingston, PC notice I never used the word Friends.

Jeff pm your number I deleted it by accident and I'll text you once we are on site Sat. I'll be registering Friday evening once I get to town.

I do, sir, have several facemasks...  I will bring some!  Be great if moosewing can join us!  I have been in comms with him, so I hope something works out...

Transferred the GPS mount to the Drifter.  WOW, I felt so bad taking a part off one bike and putting it on the other.  It was weird.

CDNRatMan

ok you can park next to my red machine.......and no face mask required...... 8)

Maybe I just have better lighting in my kitchen.

Well...  This stuff has been my friend before, stand by and we'll see what happens.

Donkey

So...  I do consider myself somewhat eBay savvy...  I know my way around, I can find what I need, I know how to work it...  BUT...  I'm smart enough to know that it's hard to show paint.

I didn't buy the cheapest one, and the pics, many of them, looked ok, but this is the pic I took when I got it:

So we are on for Sat, in the parking lot, perhaps moosewing3 will grace us with his presence.

You mean you're not even gonna wait and see how the cover comes out?  Cause there's an update...
