DC let the jucies flow and think outside the box, if I can think of places on a 800 for these, jut think of the ideas for a 1500 .......some really good ones......

I do not have a creative bone in my body to imagine where those would go.  I'll leave that up to the arteests here.   ;D

GB sure can't wait to see your finished project

I can't wait to HAVE a finished project...  these things always take WAY longer than you think..... as we have previously discussed  :o

Here are a few more parts I got together.    Now, I realize that first one doesn't look much like a motorcycle part, but I have a plan for him and 3 of his buddies.

The brass thingy was sold to me as a 1928 Model A radiator cap.   Seeing as how I do not own a 1928 Model A, I will have to find some other use for it....

or a one armed paper hanger?

Not nearly done yet....  but getting closer......

A good friend of mine once described this state I'm in as "busier than colors on a Tie-Died T-Shirt"...   8)

Come on already GB we want to see this thing back in one piece ....  ;D .... hahaha .... Man I must admit you really surprised me with the color choice , but I love it ! Great choice on the taillight assembly as well , Looks fantastic . Ok enough teasing , now get to work so we can see the finished project . Knowing how you like to horse play it's probably done sitting in the barn all pretty .... Looking real good so far GB

progress is slow, isn't it? at least here it is...too many home projects, and not enough time...   Anyway, I got my tail light bracket finally painted and put together... Reminds me of something we've worked on at the shop....

Got the parts I've been waiting for back from the powder coater as well.  They did my risers in a "gunmetal gray"...  not sure I'm crazy about it.  Then there's the one-off light bar, which I think turned out OK.

Now I've just got to get some parts bolted on.   Etc.

Yes, planning on it....    Of course, I was planning to have it done end of May, but that isn't working out so well...:)   But I sure HOPE I can get it done by drift in....  At least I've started going back together now.

GB: Are you planning on having that 800 ready to go for Drift In?

greenbarn

I'm not sure we're going to get any more bright sunlight this year...  I thing that was a couple weeks ago, and it's done....

I think that when you get it all together, we need pics in some good sunlight.  That thing is going to be something just glistening in the sun!

That is really going to be something when it's done!  Looks great!

Thanks, I hope so....    I'm pretty sure my wife will be glad when it's done.... :)

I love that color... I've been thinking about doing a repaint on the 1500, but as much as I like the orange, I'm afraid it would come out looking like a big cremesickle...I did my Hotrod in GM Sunburst orange about 10 years ago...and my FLT in 2003...slightly different GM orange....

Them's some nice looking Orange bikes.....
I hope my 800 doesn't turn out looking like a cremesickle..... :o

I think that, that simple single line just makes the colours pop and bam right at you, sometimes less is best. I can not wait to see it in person....

This has been going really slow- it's killing me....    I had an eye injury of unknown origin a couple of weeks ago, ended up with a corneal ulcer, which believe me is small but hurts like hot coals in your eye...     Besides everything ELSE that has to break, need fixed, trees to cut down, grass to mow, and everything ELSE.... very little time to get on it.

But with a little here, a little there....  there is at least a little progress....
