Small project started.... need help

Well, I decided on just a plain-jane single black stripe. PC, I wanted to take your advice, but my pinstriper is near 70 years old (he doesn't look it), and said he didn't really trust his eyes and steadiness of his hand to do double stripes any more. SO, we ended up with a single black stripe, and I'm happy with it. We'll see how it looks when it goes back together....

Black and Gold........Black against the Orange and Gold against the Cream.....or vice versa.

ok I want so much to help you so I'll take that drifter shifter off your hands and we can mount it on my bike before we head to Drift In.

I do really like the colour of the tins.......awesome....

SO I have a little progress to report. Parts are coming in, and I'm getting some stuff put on.

Got my wheels powder coated black, with an ivory stripe. Michelin commanders.

Some stock black parts from a 2000 for the fork covers.... and some more yet to go on.

One of Ted's Drifter shifter's ready to bolt on.

Oh, and the tins are done at the painter.... Waiting for some pin striping.

And, no, that isn't my Grand National.....

Yea, decided on a re-do. Keeps me busy in my spare time....

So if you get real bored, needing something to do, and decide you want to work on a '66 Ford truck project..... I can't seem to get time for mine Maybe once this 800 is done, and a few more things on the 1500...

Yep, I'm going to list it again. I took a couple more rides & the magic appears to be gone, for now at least. I still think I going to mess with an old VW beetle next.

When you run out of parts to put back, then you are done...that's how I figure it out, anyway.....If I have anything extra, I will hunt down where it goes until I find it a home...

Well FYI, many years ago, you would have been in short pants back then a friend of mine did some major mods to his bike, and he swapped out some parts for after market. Well he was ready to ride and he thought the bike was back together correctly. But much to his chagrin on his bench was a pile of parts, he was completely confused as to how he could have so many parts left over, in a panic he called myself and another buddy to come and help him. Ok so the deal was a lot of the after market and custom parts came with their own nuts and bolts, screws.....and he never took the old ones and put them with the correct part......so perhaps, Troll will have to go through what you have on the bench, and if Troll is to busy then ask DC to come with his tribe of wives and they can all help you.......
