Any 1" bar will work. I don't know of any kits. There are sources for cables and hoses on the web site.

Here is a quote from an article I wrote a couple of years ago, dealing with the issue of handlebars.  " Motorcycle handlebars are a control, not a fashion statement. It's not the same as putting one of those chrome chain steering wheels on a '67 Chevy. The handlebars have to take great stresses from pressure to force a lean, and they are in all reality, a lever. This is why the law states that you cannot ride with a repaired or home made handlebar. Generally, the heavier the bike (more mass to deal with) the wider the bars. They have so many functions, from providing a platform for the other hand controls, to supporting the weight of the rider when counterbalancing, to causing the start of the gyroscopic progression and controlling the radius of the cone once the lean has been initiated. You need, as a rider, to have the necessary mechanical advantage to control the machine by being able to press down. The simple change of a handlebar can make an ill fitting machine into a dream to ride, and visa versa. As the law is now, you are allowed to have the handgrips no more than 30 inches from the lowest portion of the occupied seat. This would accommodate somebody like Shaquille O'Neal, but 30 inches on me is about where my ears are.....I would have no real leverage on the bars, and low speed maneuverability would be impossible. Think about it before you make a change that will make your machine more difficult to control just for a "look" that may or may not be "in" next year. Good handling characteristics and stability are always in fashion. "
Maybe it's just personal for me, but I have had to help students adjust handlebars to reasonable angles so they could even learn anything in an experienced rider course. I remember when this style first started, as a "bay area custom" and I am really surprised that it has made a return.  Just remember, the technique to initiate a lean is to press down and forward on the bar in the direction of the turn.

Hey All, I am interested in putting 16" apes on my drifter and would like any suggestions or tips that anyone has.  I  have been looking at the LA choppers Mutha bar in black.  Can't seem to find any sites that sell an all inclusive kit with wires and break line.  Thanks,  Jerome
