I'm interested to see how you installed it . I have the Viking bag with studs , similar to what you just installed . Mine plan was to use a cutting board underneath the rack to install . I believe Troll did his in this fashion , but not sure if it will slip side to side ?

I thought about this for a bit now and the reason I used the big knobs is because now without tools I can remove the trunk and go back to 2 packs.

I can make it short and sweet and put it in the Mods tips section if people want it.

PC that bag does fit Ratmans bike nicely . Looks a lot less cluttered from last years trip .

Troll . 45 for travel safety is a good choice . Surprised it isn't carried in the inside pocket so you can shoot on the go if need be

I keep my .45 inside a gallon size zip bag inside it's case when I'm traveling...

Yes sir plastic and zip lock bags are the key to DRY things , as we military troops all know It's funny I pack all my socks , britches and essentials in zip lock bags , even if were going on a family vacation . You should see the look on the airport scanners as my bags roll through Guess being in the military this long , it has become a habit to pack such a way .

Yes, there are locks on all the buckles, save one. I have them because the saddlebags came with them to "lock" the buckles, and they were just laying around, doing nothing. I decided to put them on before I lost one or two, and besides...they are CHROME!!!!!!!

I bought this bag last year, and I used it on a couple of trips. Now smart army lad like yourself you know that prevention is the answer. I always use plastic bags to pack my kit in, just in case. On one trip I ran into a really nice rain storm, I managed to get my rain gear on and then it was too late for the rain cover for the pack but having everything in plastic nothing got wet, now I keep the rain cover outside under my net when it looks bad....

I would imagine it will hold up just fine . Definitely enough room for your Drift-in run now with this bag and looks nice on the bike as well . Funny I was looking at bags earlier today for the rear rack on the 1500 and found these prices very reasonable . There was another I liked as well ( can't remember the model ) but it attached to the rear passenger back rest and had a roll bag on top . I watched the provided video , looked roomy and easy access to the openings . In the video they mentioned the weather bag did need to be taped along the seams of the provided weather proof bag . Something you may want to do to yours ?

Thanks D1 it is 16 long x 12 high x 11.5 wide, and it is really well made, not sure how it will hold up to the weather but it is going to be good for the season for sure.

The locks are to keep the honest people out, you're right. I have one lock, however that goes to the helmet holder spike on the clutch lever......

Oh Troll you are a master of getting people to learn and follow your lead...

so Jafrum International had a sale this past week or so. I bought a Inspire 3005- Plain for $49.95. Figured I could not go wrong for the price. I got it and it is an impressive piece of luggage and huge, there is enough room in that sucker for my kit for a 3 month deployment. Very impressed with the quality of the piece.
