After I got home I think I figured it out about the knob.

Like most guys who like to tinker and putter about with things, prior to throwing something out I take parts off in case I would ever need to use them or have a reason for them. The first knob I think is like from a table saw or some saw for the guide on the table, that is why I only have one of them, this is more for making things tight and securing them, and not need tools to do it.

D1, only went with the ones in the picture and right after a test ride I'll let you know if I can see/feel any difference, but that Troll guy is moving up on my list  for sure.........GB, you are going to love this one.......

You'll find every kind of threaded knob you ever dreamed of at a Ham Radio Swap Meet.  I'm heading to the largest one in the world next weekend ( http://www.hamvention.org/ ), and there will be literally hundreds of booth's there with just knobs, let alone every other thing you can imagine.  Look into Ham Radio stuff and you'll find knobs!

Ok so now you have two different style threaded knobs . Have NO clue what your up to , but sure it's going to be cool  ::)

Ok so today I was on a mission and trying to finish a project......try and find the simple part pictured below......what a royal pain in the rump.....it is called a threaded knob.........I went to auto parts, hardware, Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Wal-Mart, Beeson's, Auto Quest, Ackland -Grainger, and Fastenal, and could not find one, then at Home Hardware  on Algonquin, and bingo.... so got four of them for my project.......making headway now......
