why rent one
he can borrow one from Mr. J. Hopkins his tour guide.....

Of course he can..but it looks like the only one available might be a Yamaha R1 and I'm quite a few hundred miles from Scotland and separated by England..still its a good ride..

John.

Planning to get a seamstress to let it out a bit are you? ;D

Scotsmen leave it out all the time when they wear a kilt.

John.

49 I only have a picture of you in a kilt I found...........

on another forum we have about 10 Scottish member's, and I started a joke thread that I had  pm'ed all the Scottish members before I posted it so none would take offence, and said I was going to be visiting Mick in Scotland, and it would be easy to find him, and said you just had to ask the correct questions, looking for a guy name Angus, paints his face blue, wears a skirt, with knee socks, raises haggais with legs shorter on one side then the other due to the hills and he throws telephone poles around for fun.  Oh and carries a knife in his sock, why ...simple any man wearing a skirt needs to protect himself....ok .......

We have an awesome couple from Scotland here in the Wing super nice people.

Chief I'll have to get you some of our Air Force Tartan.

GPS is not to get you THERE but rather to get you home from THERE

LOL... we WILL be wearing kilts when we go... we have a formal affair that requires kilts.  Mine is a bit snug at the moment, but that will change.

Good for Scotland! My great-grandfather Kennedy came from Scotland. The interesting part is when Mom was into genealogy she found out way, way back we were connected to the Irish, Catholic Kennedys of US political fame but my ancstors had a dispute with their bishop in Ireland. This dispute escalated to the point of them burning the bishop at the stake. Needless to say they were excomunicated by the Catholic church and run out of Ireland. Scotland took them in. Thus I am  of Protestant Scottish decent.

Did your ancestors ever have feuds with the Glendays? My great grand-dad came to America when he was 14 years old, by himself, worked as a carpenters helper, and went on to become the owner of a large construction company that helped to rebuild San Fransisco after the big shake. He would be proud to see this historic turn of events. Can't remember what part of Scotland he came from, but it is in the family papers somewhere.

Thanks for the post.

Well that's certainly interesting!  First I'd heard that.

When you go, you planning on renting a bike over there?

No Worries

My mother was a Campbell (Campbell of Argyle)... I lived in Scotland way back in the olden days when "devolution" was just a conversation topic. Well, in September Scots will be able to vote on once again becoming a free and independent nation!  I know there are a lot of obstacles and considerations but I hope when I visit in 2015 Scotland will be well on its way to independence. This could be a truly historic time for Scots.
