When I changed mine, my rear sprocket was about 75% worn out anyway, so I wanted to put on a new chain at the same time.  I called scootworks and ordered the front and rear and the chain all from them.  I went on their recommendation on brands.

No Worries

I swapped both and had no chain issues with either or both.

The rear sprocket is really easy. If you have questions just pm me.

I love this board efficiency. Front sprocket on it's way.  Did the stock chain fit with the front and back swap? or should it be longer or shorter?

Thanks!

Nanook;
mon chum, I used AFAM premium sprockets I got from the local Honda dealer because it was faster through them then the Kaw dealer. Actually came from Montreal Importations Thhibault Ltee, ITL #1107181F

from AFAM 28400-18

was a well worth the time and effort change, I have it posted for you in the 800 mods section.

Hello everyone,
Time to change my tire so decided to to the "sprocket swap", that sounds like the name of a new dance. Anyway it's quite clear that jt sprocket makes a rear sprocket that fits perfectly sold for 35$ online, part # jtr 499.38, but the front sprocket is less obvious. Some sellers seem to imply that the jt sprocket # jtf 513.18 will do the job, but than scootworks who sells jt and the kit does'nt seem to use it? the kit is almost twice the price of the sproket bought separately. Anybody used the jtf 513.18 in front?
