RATMAN all joking aside I see them quit often on bobbers, ratbikes. They actually don't look bad on most of them, but they're also just bar hoppers, not meant for any kind of long rides.I wouldn't recommend it on your drifter, but then again there's other known things you've done that I also would not have recommended ,there my good buddie...... ::)  :D ;)

KW thanks for the bit of advice about tapping new holes.Think that's the route I'm shooting for, especially being I just picked up a new tap and dye set for the shifter kit install.A man and his new toys...LOL....I also checked around for them plastic plugs for spares,if and when I find them I'll get a few for you and RATMAN.

Looks good! You should mount that tractor seat in the corner on your bike too, might start a trend, man!

Ratman - Nice! The installation looks good on your machine. Don't mind you horning in with a few more pictures. Anyone considering these can now see the details of the install. I'm still looking, but would appreciate it if you can find some metric caps. If you do...two please, so I have one spare. The bike looks right with the black bars on it.

Drift1 - You can't just use longer bolts, because the tab that holds the bars together is not flat...it's angled. So, you'd have to bend the original horn bracket first, which is what I thought I was going to do, but then I thought why should I bend the stock bracket if I could just remount it. Drilling two holes was easy. If you want to go one better, drill and tap the holes, then you won't need a nut on the back side. So agree with the Ratman, because it gives him options to mount other horn configurations.

Well done all around boys.

Troll

Don't worry about cornering, the back edge of the floor boards will touch down first. The hero knobs on the bottom will let you know....

this took all of about 15 mins total time to mount, if you are not going to make mods to the horn mounting, 10mm socket for the horn, and 14mm for the bolts on the floor boards brackets. and a couple of pics from a different veiw and it does look good...

ok back to the engine guard, KW a body shop or auto shop should have them plugs, I could not find any here today as both auto shops were closed by the time I got to them.
I put the guard on today.....just wondering now how it will effect my cornering ability, not that I am a cafe racer corner taking person on this ride.....
Some info on mounting the motorsloop guard....

???   Im looking to change horns.  Those little squeakers suck. I think someone mentioned getting a stock car horn from the auroparts store. Cheap and loud.

Drift1

Did you check with Chillidrift on this matter.I mean you are willing your ride to him,or is the contract still under negotiations?LOL.....That's all we need is for you to have a loud horn now.....like your not noticed enough with your previous stunts :o  ;D ;)

Thomas Payne

CDNRatMan

I am sure you could but I just wanted to do something a bit different  and drilled new holes and it is done and looks really good, also if I decide to swap horns and get something really loud then I can mount it there too...we shall see.

Shure KW would apprecciate you finding a new insert for him,RATMAN.My box was in good shape although it looked liked it had been retaped a few times.Thought maybe from going through customs.I'm waiting to put mine on for now,but by the looks of it can't you just add longer bolts to use the same holes?
