Grease fitting size?

Bike Bandit has these fittings @ $1.80 each.

Just finished mine- they are 6MM 1.0 zerks.
Had to retap it as the thing would not come out with an easy out. Filled it with grease,it was bone dry ;and suprisingly the rear suspension is stiffer now.
Did not expect that.
This was the middle of the three zerks,and the lowest.

I went to an autozone parts place and got a metric zerk assortment.  One of the sizes fit, however the base of the fitting was smaller, so its not exactly the same.  Ill be keeping my eyes open for some other metric fittings, but for now, they are doing the job

The two lower fittings on mine were gone, prob snapped off before I bought it. Spent hrs trying to figure out the size with no luck. I wanted to tap threads in and put an American sae fitting and couldn't even get that size. I took a grease zerk and turned it into the aluminum housing and it took hold. Put on a socket and turnrd it in a couple turns, pumped in some grease and it held fine. The best idea I think is to remove the fitting now that its full and put in a plug. Theres no pressure and guarenteed there going to break off again.

I tried to buy a couple from my local Kaw dealer(Big Dealership) and they don't stock them,didnt know what size they were. Now I don't know,but I find that to be pretty freekin' sorry of a dealership to just shrug their shoulders over a grease zerk.  I have a couple....somewhere,I know I put them somewhere where I wouldn't forget where I put them.  LOL  I will try to remember tomorrow to look in the garage. It is a good excuse for me to look that someone else needs to know. I really should try to find them,as I do need to grease mine as well.I lowered my drifter,and removed them and put in plugs,as so I would not sheer them off on a driveway or something.

I am getting ready to replace mine, as one is sheared off ,which won't be fun getting out, and the other two did the same thing as yours.Will let you know what I find out.
Have to deal with gas smell first,so may not be soon.

There is a tool called a thread guage. You line up the threads on the fitting with the correct guage, and its printed on the side what size and number of threads are. They usually come in a tap and die kit, or can be bought separetly.

Does anyone know the size of the grease fittings used on the 800?  There are three of them under the bike for the suspension and I am looking to replace them.  Went to lube it and the grease was coming back out of the fitting after I took the grease gun off, then continued to drip a bit.  Must be some dirt in there or something that is not allowing that ball to seal off the opening properly.  I dont want to mess things up ruin any threads
