Gas smell?

Did you change anything recently like add a windsheild. Adding the windsheild on my 650 Yamaha made the sounds of the motor sound like it was going to fly apart, it could keep a smell that was there before seem more magnified.

Mine never smelled until recently,so something has changed. The gas cap is tight and the gasket looks good, don't see any gas leaks anywhere.
Anything else to check/test?

The gas cap is vented . I can smell mine occasionally.

Anyone have an occasional gas smell,usually at a stop?
Don't see any gas leaking anywhere, but cannot check when I can smell it and it won't do it if I run it in the driveway.
