Flex agents are used for the flexible urethane type bumpers used on late model cars. I've sprayed bumpers without it, the drawback is if you bump it ( fairly hard ) the paint will crack. The Drifter fenders don't need that. Without a compressor your limited to spray cans. A autobody pait shop can mix up any colour, finish , in a can and it sprays in a fan pattern so your finished result will look like a spray gun. You have to practice to get the feel before you start on your bike. If you make a mistake, let it dry, wet sand it out and try again.

I am looking for some advice on painting... I've read a quite a bit on different sites and everyone seems to have thier own preferences. My biggest concern is painting the fenders and the plastic parts, I have read about flex agents, laying down multiple primers ect...
I want to go with a flat or matte green and I was looking at some different rattle cans at wal mart for plastics, but I also want to match the tank and I want to do it right. If someone on here has painted thier own drifter please list some step by step tips from sanding, priming, and where to buy a good paint or direct me to a good website. I'm on a tight budget, and this is a DIY job...I don't have a paint gun either. Thanks!
