backfire when i shut off the engine

Aftermarket pipes and/or air box?  Won't hurt to do as Troll suggested... might be that simple.

Possible leaking injector. Run some sea foam through it and see what happens

Any help on this at all would be huge guys....im starting to get nervous as my trip is this week coming up....

So this could possibly be an easy fix, and i hope so, but i just dont know.

Everytime i shut off my bike after riding a while i get a small backfire from my top exaust pipe. Like a burp.

Also, some mornings i have grey smoke coming out of the top pipe as well, but not the bottom. after running the engine for a minute it stops. I am writing this from work so i am not sure exactly which pipe this leads back to, but i figure maybe one of you have had this issue and know what i can do to fix this. I am about to ride 400 miles to cleveland to store my bike for the winter and want a smooth trip home...
