The fender is plastic and so it would only hold a couple of pounds.  Besides, it moves with the suspension, so it would be a VERY bumpy ride.

I have a 1500 drifter 2002 and I'm trying to find a 2up seat... I'm also looking to see  if it's possible just to have a removable fender...would the fender support the weight up to 120 pounds? Any suggestions? I like the solo look....
