Thanks Mak, have you fitted them yet? Would you know the length, even running a sting along one of them would be approximate enough.

Are you using risers or still the original setup?

Thanks

Does anyone know the difference between these and the R series ones - 54012-0140 (and 0141)

The R series throttle cables are longer.  In terms of parts availability I just bought a couple of parts which were listed as the last ones - in Japan!

Thanks Greenbarn,

They actually list them as Obsolete under 'Motorcycles'.

Having fitted PhatII risers to match my Corbin seat a few years ago, I now find the cables have crimped against the petrol tank. They have to run on the rider side of the top triple tree. Too short to go over, but a bit too long to go as they do. I'm hoping the other VN's have a shorter cable, which will also resolve the Obsolete problem.

I have a temporary sleeve to prevent further damage, and will measure my cable lengths when i have a chance to get to them.

Thanks

My throttle cables - opening and closing , parts 54012-1610/1613 are crimped. They are not/available from Ron Ayers or CycleParts.
