Sorry to keep you all waiting on the update from this afternoon's doctors appointment.  I was just so worn out after it was over that I crawled into bed and crashed for a while.

God is hearing and answering our prayers though!

There is some very slight skin dying at the ends of the wound, but it's very slight and the doc said it's surrounded by healthy pink tissue, so he expects that the pink tissue will regrow and take over the dead stuff.  There also appears to be no signs of infection.  These are the two main things the doc's are concerned with right now, as too much dead tissue means no regrowth, and infection is just a bad deal all around.

I go back next Thursday for another looksee, and this time they'll probably remove the stitches.  That should be a party!

They gave me a new bandage too.  The old one guarded it well, but it was heavy, and my muscles in that leg are all torn, so it was very hard to maneuver.  They gave me a new lighter bandage this time that I can move pretty well in, but it doesn't offer quite as much protection.  It's all good though, because we still have Winndy's (my wife) immobilizers for her leg surgery's a few years back and they are made of rubberized foam with metal stiffeners down the sides and Velcro to hold them closed.  When I need the extra protection, I'll just wear that.

Welcome back PC :).  It seems the Hospital kicked you out of the there pretty quick, thats good news I guess or your insurance isn't too good LOL.  I am glad your on your next phase of recovery. It's a hard, tough road but it will get better in time. Kick back watch some Chasing Cars series with Wayne Carini, and get better.  I want his job.  God speed and God Bless You........

I thank you all for every prayer offered for me and my family.  I am home and recovering from what I can only describe as "one heck of a week"!

My posts my be sporadic for a while as I recover, but if you'll still have me, even without a Drifter, I'll keep plaguing, I mean, showing up at the door to this place.

Sorry I haven't logged on for a while.

Just heard about this on the UK forum and came over to say
thoughts are with PC and family.  Glad there seems to be
incredible healing with the foot!
