I was told that using a slightly heavier oil would slow down the bound and rebound of the forks over bumps, but it would also tend to decrease the fork travel on all but the largest bumps.

Hi Andy hope you are well, I have looked up fork oil and there appears to be all different grades but they are 10,15,20 so not sure which to go for or is it not that crucial and go for the one in the middle. Uncle Malcolm is very quiet at present his head must be numb with that stupid walking football he insists in taking part in. ;D

Ok in my 800 which is the same front end I used plain old fork oil I bought at the Kaw shop.......and added 1500 springs in mine....

Hi Laird Stewart......how is your winter going? How is Uncle Malcolm doing, he seems quiet this year.....must be all that walking football he is participating in.........

GPS is not to get you THERE but rather to get you home from THERE

A lot of work going on with the drifter at present and while she is in strip down mode I am doing some jobs that I would probably avoid. I am going to replace the fork oil as I don't know when it was last done the manual says use 10w20 we don't have that here. What oil are you using in your 1500 forks. Thanks
