No fair  :'( you can work on your Drifter inside your nice climate controlled house.  I have to do it in my cold garage. My wife would kill me.

Th reason I have to work on my bike inside the house is because I do not have a garage, if I had a garage it would be heated, have a big screen TV at least a 34" er so I can watch TV while tinkering. You can heat your garage, a nice wood burning stove would be the answer, and who is the King of the castle here is it not your home?.........ok go and tell her it is the living room for the bike and she can move to the garage......see what happens, then after the fight you can park were you want to once you can afford to......lol.......

I have 4 lifts, a venom, one looks like a black widow, and a big lift that had to be modified. Then a $10.00 scissor lift.

The venom one is used for cleaning and general use, the look alike is used for winter stand and maintenance, The big lift is used if the wheels have to come off.

second picture you can see I am use two jacks to keep the bike level with both wheels off.

third is the big lift I did the mods to.

The big on does get in the way if you are working on that side of the bike, so I only use it like I said when I need the wheels off. Really like the venom and ask GB once you get the hang of using it to lift and lower the bike it is easy.

Thanks for the warning about taping the handle bolt to prevent damage to the seat. Mike

Mike, it is pretty simple to use but watch the bolt that holds the handle together, I had to tape mine so it would not rip the seat.
Venom is super for doing oil changes also.
Once you get it square to the bike it is a simple matter of lifting the bike up and back, sort of like a center stand.

Thank you RATMAN. I just ordered the Venom model. I think it will serve my needs for the present time. Mike

Do any of you use a center pivot lift stand for getting the wheel off of the ground? I have found several advertised on ebay (Venom, Black Widow, etc.). Do they work with the Drifter 800? Any other suggestions? Appreciate your advise and help. Mike
