Welcome aboard!
You'll see, as soon as you start to ride your new lady, you will sure change your nick name in something like: "addidect to Drifter"... ;)

I love my swingin' bike!

RETIRED HD

Thanks for the welcome
No pics yet, I bought the bike from a Kaw dealer in Iowa and it will take about two weeks to get it here

Reformed Harley guy myself... got rid of a RK after buying my Drifter. Traveled New Mexico several years ago, spent about 10 days touring all over the state. Interesting country. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome, RHD.   Retired? so you'll have plenty of time to customize your new ride.   ;D  Did somebody mention picture???

No Worries

CDNRatMan

Welcome, and you will really like the 800, it is so much fun to ride, but a pain to go anyplace you will get stopped and told it is not an Indian, or you will have people wanting to just talk about the cool ride you have.
You might want to post some pictures because them 1500 guys get all upset if you don't.

RETIRED HD

Just bought a 2006 Drifter 800. Long time (30+yrs) Harley owner rider, Got tired of all the posers and other things so I sold my Heritage last year, retired and moved to New Mexico.
I always liked / wanted a Indian as my dad always talked about his "Chief" but old ones were to expensive and temperamental and the new ones just didn't look right to me. Well while surfing the web I started reading about the 800 Drifter and I felt it looked more like the vintage ones than anything else so I took the metric plunge. I have a lot of questions so be on the look out.
