Some even call it "the milk bottle".  Don't drink it, though, that's not chocolate milk.   It's to collect all the oil that drains out of the crankcase vent system.  Some have done away from it and replaced with a vent filter.

on the right side down by the rear brake pedal, like a old fashion milk jar? Like in the picture?
That is your Air Cleaner vent,
I just take it off over the winter and clean it out......

one of the real mechanics can explain it better.

On the right side of my bike at the bottom is a little clear bulb half filled with black liquid...I'm new to bikes, so I know its some common sense thing, but this is second bike, honda rebel doesn't have whatever that is lol.

Little help?
