Wow from food to religion..

I just wanted to make sure we covered all the bases! ;D

John Hopkins

Wow from food to religion..still it is 'not Drifter related' so no complaints from me...

I'm a keen believer that the world is a disk carried on the back of four giant elephants carried through the void on the back of a giant turtle.

John.

pcarrell

Well, the Bible says that we're all related, right?  (Let that soak in a minute Ratman.......scared yet?) ;D

Toasted bun?

John.

Ratman is telling you what happened when he fell backwards into the campfire.

John Hopkins

Yeah..I had the pulled pork, I shared it with my son and it was quite nice..

John.

CDNRatMan

;)  well the brat was awesome but a fresh bun would have been much better then sliced bread, but thanks needed that little push.....

Troll you are a real PIA right now, I have to go and get a brat from the freezer and heat it up for a snack now......

It's really a matter of personal taste. BBQ pork really isn't my "thing". I would prefer some smoked Bratwurst with horseradish brown mustard and sauerkraut....but I like stuff that would put the average Norwegian in intensive care for a week...

I will have to tell you, the packaged stuff is sort like buying frozen fish'n'chips and heating it up. Not nearly as good as the from the chip shop/bbq joint.

That depends on the BBQ joint, of course...  :o  A few of us ate at what was supposed to be a good BBQ joint at Drift-in, but it was pretty lousy.   I think that was the consensus.

But Chief is right - it's good just plain with a fork, too.  I do prefer on a bun, though.  Extra sauce might be good, depending on how saucy the stuff is....

Let us know now it turns out.

You don't have to put it on a bun. You can eat it with a fork. Did you get any BBQ sauce?  I like mine with bbq beans, french fries, fried Okra and cornbread!  I eat BBQ at least twice a week, though I prefer ribs, pulled port will do in a pinch!

I would warm is slowly in a pan, and fill the bun with as much as it will hold. I like it hot, so I would also have a bottle of Melinda's 4X Habanero sauce at hand to bump it up, a bit....Chips would be good....but baked beans with onion would be better

just a plain bun but toasted if you please.

CDNRatMan

ok from a Canadian, you heat it up and put it on a bun and serve with French fries and coleslaw........lol   I would heat the whole pound and make 2 sandwiches......perhaps that is why I am so big.....

I've just bought a pound of  Smoked hickory bbq pulled pork..I've never eaten this before and having opened the sealed packet I'm not sure what to do with it.. I have no idea how to serve it or what goes with it or how much to use for one serving..

Any suggestions would be helpful..

John.
