Update on the caliper issue, pulled the caliper apart, pistons are all pitted misaligned and seized. Just ordered a rebuild kit from the local dealer, my bum hurts, $110.

Americans don't say bum, so you have to be Canadian..

Troll is absolutely right.  sticking slider pins are the #1 cause of brakes hanging up.  The piston can cause it, too, and so can a bad brake hose.  The hose is made of multiple layers, and the inside layer can come apart, and restrict the return flow of fluid.  The M/C has plenty of force to push fluid through, but it won't return quickly.
Best way to tell the difference caliper vs. hose:
1) jack the tire up
2) pump the brake- turn the tire- is the brake sticking?
3) when the brake is sticking on - crack the bleeder on the caliper
--if the wheel turns freely (i.e. brake no longer sticking) this means the hose is bad.
--if the wheel is still froze up -- the caliper (or caliper slides) are stuck

No Worries

Yup got it out had a look and it appears to have never been lubed. The pistons are very sticky also. Thanks for the diagram.

don't have to..or need to take the fender off. 2 screws hold the cover on. inside the cover, 2 chrome bolts, 12mm heads, hold the caliper bracket to the lower fork leg. The caliper is a dual piston, single action slider. That said, the bracket MUST slide smoothly and EASILY so the caliper can self align. Most people don't know, or don't care about cleaning and lubing the slider pins...Happens on cars all the time...

Any ideas why my front caliper might be sticking? Gonna go back down to the garage and pull the fender off and have a look see. Any input would be appreciated.
