ID please

The windshield arrived today... Now I am seeing an issue.  the bracket (for the classic 1500 FI) is built for models with the headlight attached to the top trippletree.  the lower bolt holes line up corectly, but there are no holes at the top.  is there any way to maybe clamp them in place???  it is in fact the memphis slim  if anyone knows a way to SAFELY moddify them so that i can mount would be greatly appreciated

The bracket pictured attaches between the chrome cover and the headlight mount on the lower tree and underneath the top tree on the riser bolts.

well the ebay auction is over i ended up getting it for $49 plus shipping so even if the brackets are wrong its one hell of a deal.

If it's a good price buy it, we have tapered forks on the 1500's so all you need is a sheet of A4 paper, wrap it around the fork where you want to fit the bracket mark it with a felt tip pen then cut it out with scissors, if you don't get it right first time try again until you do, then lay it on a piece of sheet metal and cut your bracket out..shape it with an old wooden rolling pin, drill two holes for the bracket bolts and spray it with black paint..That's what I did with a windshield just like that..I also bought a piece of clear perspex to cut a new template to fit the headlight..the windshield comes in two pieces so it's easy to replace the headlight cuttout section.

Looks like at the top it has a flange with holes in it to get sandwiched between the top triple tree and the risers.

Sorry can't help about knowing if they are interchangeable but here is a pic of the bracket for the Classic.

yeah that is what i am seeing as well, it looks like its the Memphis FATS/SLIMS.  now i know with the NC windshields that the classic and drifter are interchangeable, is this also true with Memphis shades?

The bracket looks like a Memphis Shades that came off a 2002 vn1500 Classic I once had.
As a matter of fact i still have that bracket. I can take a pic if you like.

OK so after my POS Slipstreamer windscreen almost threw me under a big rig today i left it on the side of the freeway.  now i am looking at a potentially great deal but i need to ID the new one to find out what else i need to fit it.  still waiting on the seller for some info but thought i would try you guys as well.

These are the pics i got so far.  the listing says it "may be a Memphis shades"  But the bracket doesn't look like any Memphis i can find.  Has anyone seen or does anyone own one like this and can tell me what i might need?
