Thanks CM the grips are half on...lol.......the throttle grip went on slick and easy. I just had all the housings opened and removed the cables from the throttle, slide the grip up and with a pair of needle nose pliers slipped the ferrules into the spots and it was done. The left one I am waiting till I have the bike done and all back together so I can sit on it and line it up with the right one as to the actual position because it will be glued on with adhesive.

Will be interested in a little write up on how you did the iso grips Ratman, as I have some sitting on the shelf right now for future use.

#12 and 13 are your mystery  projects....I have a few of those too...one is almost done, can't wait to share it when done.  Good luck with your projects, it is good to make a list like you did, I should write mine down too, and it'll clear up my head for a while.

  Everyone in the north has a rec room to keep our sanity over the winter. Mr. I got a fleet of trucks, a sun room, an acreage, my own business, run half the town and State.
Anyhow no way to get a bike into the back it is a 10 ft drop into the backyard.....but I have been thinking of French doors for the front window or even a roll up window door, like on them restaurants on the sidewalks.......

You have a REC ROOM?   MUST BE NICE!   I think you should put the double-doors in the REC ROOM and turn it into the bike shop .....

  Here are a few pictures of the house, rec room were the polishing and cleaning is done while watching TV, then the bike in the state of being worked on, then my cedar chest for a tool bench, and the spare room for spare parts and parts waiting to be worked on or cleaned

    no need to go there young man, are you doing this mod, if so then I will rush to get the pictures and the write up in to the mod section, otherwise you can wait out the weekend....and was waiting to do the bumperettes at the same time if they are done with the second coat which is drying right now..... ..suck it up buttercup....lol.....

WO... WO .... WO I can not believe this . You mean to tell me this project is DONE and NO write up ? And yes I checked the mod section and WHAM ! nothing about 38 tooth sprocket from my friend Mr. Ratman  I absolutely am in shock  The nerve of this ribber , getting on me

#1. replace both set of brake pads, this will encompass, rebuilding both calipers and checking all hoses and cables involved in the operation of the brakes,
#2. Bike now has 33 some ks on it and not knowing if the valves have ever been checked or looked at that is in the plans for after xmas,
#3. Seat is getting new foam and gel foam, sculpted and formed to my buttocks, by a local custom seat-maker, at the seat place,
#4. Replace front springs with 1500 Progressive springs and new oil, on order, remove and check triple tree bearings and parts, on order
#5. Replace rear shock, on order, remove all the pivot points and bearings, grease fittings, check and replace as required, grease, re install,on order waiting delivery
#6. add what will be black bumperettes to the rear fender, First coat of gloss black and drying,
#7. Replacing all the chrome bullet heads with black ones, painted and done waiting to be installed,
#8.  Build the nacelle' paint it black and install it, have the parts here, decided to forego this mod because of the windscreen
#9. Replace handgrips, Done
#10. Replace rear sprocket with 38T 0ne because of 0hi0 barn said to  Done just waiting for rear shock to close up the rear end
#11. Still working on rear passenger folding floor boards.
#12. Mystery project, project might be out because lack of finding correct parts required

I have been taking pictures and will do write ups for the 800 mod section when I am done and have some time......

I didn't know what a nacelle was. At least not on a bike. Time to hit up google for pictures.

(Edit) I just googled them. I've seen those before. Never realized what I was looking at. It all makes sense now...

I really like the Kury grips. I didn't ride much at all with the old ones so I don't have much of a comparison, but the new ones are great. I hated the old ones. Seem to be less felt vibration, and the larger diameter is really nice. Plus with the raised cushioned part it seems like you don't have to grip as hard to hold the throttle at a certain position. I'm glad they come in black though. Chrome wouldn't look right on the blacked out drifters. I think you'll like them.

 could not find that mod here but I have it as a word doc so once I figure it out I'll get it posted here, not sure who the actual builder was for this project.

I went to the new grips and think they are larger and went with the idea of golf grips that the bigger grips better for arthritic hands.....

Ratman I do believe that nacelle mod is on here as well . Pastor dude posted it up .Should be in the mod section and you think your not a computer genius man trying using these 10 thumbs lol

Soooo you have the rear sprocket complete , heh . Good for you , you already installed a new chain when you did the front didn't you ? I can't remember , but pretty sue you said it was done ? How do them grips feel ? I'm a victim of the right hand numbness myself . partially due to military and a lot to do with running chainsaws for the past 16 years .

  Thanks D1, I am sure it is all doable over the winter, other then the valves, but I have a certified Kawasaki mechanic who is going to help me, learn by doing the work.

gdrudd13; grips came today from Value Accessories, bought the Kuryakyn Black ISO 6345 like you, but I passed on the throttle boss, I tried one and just could not get comfortable with it. If I am right there is like a 1" difference in the diameter between the grips so this should help my numb right hand, like putting arthritic grips on a golf club.
A nacelle is that cover behind the headlight in front of the forks that hides all them cables and hoses, found it on the Drifter Riders Forum, on the delphiforums. I have it saved to a word document but can not figure how to pass them on to anyone...lol.....computer genius is not me...

Sprockets are done, just waiting for the rear shock to close up the back of the bike.

What grips are you going with? I have the black Kury Iso grips and they look nice and are very comfortable. I also put on a matching black throttle boss. This was well worth it. At least till I get some sort of cruise control.

And what did you mean by "nacelle"?
