LOL .....What I think would look cool , if our friend Ratman , could put one of those visors on his ti hat . Maybe ,just maybe , that will keep the glare out of his eyeballs  :o ...
Hope all is well bud !

i reread my question....and did not find it to be " smart ass " at all...sorry if asking a question..was so hard on you.

my apologizes to the forum.

Spiderman, you have to know Ratman like (some of) the rest of us do.....   Your question was worded just fine.   May just be the language barrier, eh?
No Worries

dakuhosu

That thing really is cool.

CDNRatMan

no you misunderstood my response Spiderman, your question weas not a smarta$$ question it was valid, I meant the smart a$4 answer would have been because I can.
The answer was because it is suppose to cut the glare from the sun but it is in trutgh not high enough. It would have to be higher and lean over the speedo more to cut the glare, but it does work for some situations.

;)  smart a$$ answer.......because I can. Actually it does cut a bit of the glare of the sun on it but still not enough if the sun is above or behind you, and best part it was the right price.

perhaps take it to a paint shop and have it painted to match the black. or leave it chrome. Mine was Fire and Steel but here is a Cobra one.

Thanx again, but I was thinkin' of something less expensive and (mostly) homemade...
I'll try to do some research on Google. Maybe later, 'cause now I just wanna go out and ride my bike!
Hope to see ya on the road, soon or later! :)

I love my swingin' bike!

CDNRatMan

I found a local company that did it for me and the cost was not really bad it was about $100.00 CDN for the whole thing.

Thanx for your fast reply, RatMan! :)
While I was lookin' around the Forum, I came across the topic where ya gates are talkin' about Guido's engine guard; so, I took a look and found my treasure: a light bar that looks perfect for my bike (and not so expensive, too)!!!
I'm going to buy it asap. But now, the next question is: I've never competed in powder coatin'...any suggestions? ;)
Thanx a lot.

I love my swingin' bike!

Benvenuto nel forum e cercherò di aiutarvi.

Thanks for the compliment. I spent a long time looking for the black light bar, found one but far to expensive, and then it vanished from the internet. I lucked in on mine, bought it at the local Kawasaki shop, albeit was chrome. It was originally for a 1500, but had been sitting on the shelf for a long time coated in a thick layer of dust. I post a thread on it here, took it home and then dissembled it, then had it powder coated black to match the bike. The visors I bought from here http://store.valueaccessories.net/index.aspx and they are really a nice touch.
Question #2 spotbar, I assume is the light bar, yes it was all one package and you can find them on ebay in chrome.

here is the thread on my lights.

and with that set up I have mine on all the time and have not had any issues with it and people can see me coming a long way off. Travelling Northern Ontario roads at night is not so bad now I have the ditch lite up pretty good to see the moose before they come to the road.

Hi RatMan. I'm a new cityzen of this grrrrreat Forum, so I just beg your pardon for any kind of mistake I should make on usin' it.
First of all: Niiiice bike! It looks great!! :)
I'm a proud owner of a '99 800 drifter just like yours and now am willing to customize it. So, since it's a long, long, looong time I'm lookin' for (but no luck at all...), please, could you tell me:
1) where did you get those spotlights?
2) did you bought a spotbar too? And in this case, what kind and where?
Waitin' for your answer asap...THANX!! ;D

I love my swingin' bike!

I know someone else who wants one of those.  :)  How would I explain it to them on how to go about finding such bling?  They are very excited to know.

Ratman, that's definitely boss looking.  I've never seen that done before.
