Just a little update, I called in at my local bike shop because I haven't got an adjustment tool for my shock absorbers, the owner came out and adjusted my shocks for me and wouldn't take a penny..

Yea, most of the real bad ones here are gone by end of April. March is a whole different story! By the time I take my bike out the roads have settled back down. I do hate those bone rattling heaves!

nhtrikes come on up north here and I'll show you a few frost heaves that would bottom out your shocks.

The weather channel says the next 7 days are going to be dry...about time. The River is still just (inches) below flood stage..This is usually back to normal depth by late April...still having flood warnings south of here...

Played around with my settings as well for the first few rides. I'm 215, ?apparently another featherweight?,  and settled on 30psi with damp. at 3, go to 4 when carrying passenger, not very often. Very comfortable over most frost heaves, rr tracks and potholes. There is always that one that doesn't look like it's going to be bad and wump, it gets you!

I think all your rain has come East Troll. Been raining here for 6 days and expecting another 2-3 inches by tomorrow morning. I keep dumping water out of my pool and it keeps filling up. Frogs in the backyard brook are loving it, singing every night.

That's too funny!   ;D  We're a geriatric riders site.  Next thing you know, someone will make a video of themselves inching their way to their bike using a walker.   ;D

Hey DC want to see something else funny, almost all the people on this forum are in the over ..well over 40 age group....good thing they do not mind being old....lol......just check out the birthday thingy on the bottom. Think myself and D1 are the babies on the forum....

Just wanted to make sure I could bridge the language gap....Communication is SO important...I have trouble understanding my neighbors down the block.. They are from Chicago.

Sooooo...16.14285714285714 stone huh? About the same as me. I have 30 psi (206.84271 Kpa). I have the rebound damping set at 4 to help control shaft jack and try to prevent the rear from rising too much in a hard stop. It rides ok, not as well as my TourGlide, but it doesn't weigh as much, and the angle on the shocks has an effect on their compression rates. The FLT rear shock units are straight up and down with softer initial spring rates.

Thanks Troll...I didn't realise you colonials spoke 'stones'..I spent some time converting from stones to lbs so you would understand me..for europeans I have to convert to Kgs which are a whole new world for me..

Anyway, that's just what I wanted to know..

John.
