I'd say your fine brother. I'll be riding Fri and Sat.

Did ya get out to ride?

Hi, while my drifter was down for electrical issues, it sat idle for about 3 weeks.

When it started, there was some smoke from the pipe for a minute or 2, when i reved it, then it cleared up.
it had never noticeably smoked before, but the inside of my pipe was always black, and some slight sooting of the fender by the screw that hold on the fish tail tip.

My bike had never sat for more than 3 days without riding it before this.

I THINK, that maybe some oil had seeped into the cylinders while setting up for the 3 weeks, and just needed to be burned off.

I could be wrong, but that is my thoughts.

Looking more like Saturday hope ya get out.

I may go out for a quick spin, but I wont be able to ride much. So, I guess this normal? That's a relief.

Hi folks. I had the bike covered up and on a tender for the last month and thought since is was so nice here in Ohio, I would start it up and let it run for a few minutes. After the fast idle settled down I hit the throttle and saw black/grey smoke from the pipes each time I hit the throttle. When I shut the engine off white smoke filtered out. Is this because the bike sat for a month? I have noticed before this problem soot on the pipe and fender. Any help would be appricated.
