Thanks for the kind words, but in this case I'm just following someone else's lead.  I just know that it works!

Very, Very Nice!!!  I greatly appreciate your efforts and pictures to point me in the right direction!  I'll follow your lead and start my fabrication!  Thanks again!

The link to the part doesn't work any more.  Here's a direct link: http://www.jcwhitney.com/emgo-universal-highway-floorboard/p2006697.jcwx?filterid=c14701u0j3

(***Chief***Take note to update the instructions!)

OK, I just went out to the garage and took these pics of the right side mount.  (How's that for "Up to the minute"?)

I had to do a "T" shaped mount because my pipes were so close.

They've been on there for a few years now, with people from 300lbs on down using them, with not one lick of trouble!

The JC Whitney part is meant to clamp to a round bar with a 2 piece clamp (front & back).  You throw the back half of the clamp into the spare parts bin and use some 1/4 inch steel bar (or aluminum like I used....got it at Menards) and mount it to the stock passenger mount.  (You do have to make the mounts, but it's REALLY easy!)  Drill a couple holes and mount the JC Whiney part as per the instructions.  You can angle the board if you like, but I didn't.  (The front half of the clamp can allow the board to angle if you like)  I made my mounts "T" shaped, but you could do a straight mount if you have the room.  It was WAY cheaper, and I think it looks great!  (Nobody has ever commented on the "funky homemade mounts")  I did notice that the new mount sits down in the factory mount pocket better if you bevel the back edges slightly with a file, but it was all pretty straightforward and very easy really.  An hour or two's work total for big savings!  Well worth it if you ask me!

Very nice!  How do you have them mounted?  It looks like the JC Whitney model has to be clamped onto the round part of the frame.

When I looked into it a few years ago they were tough to find then, and stupid expensive.  I followed this ( http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/floorboardadapter.html ) and the wife loves them, plus I saved a boatload of cash!  Here's how they turned out for me.....

Would anyone know where I can pick up a pair of passenger floor boards including mounting hardware?  I'm having a tough time locating them, new or used.
Thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can offer.
