Sorry, I forgot to take the pics and post them.  Here they are.......(Click to Enlarge)

Here it is hanging up in the garage (with the horseshoe attached)

Here's the right and left of the horseshoe (there is a painted piece on each side and then a couple of bars going straight back that I covered in leather)

Here's the underside of the tour pack mount.  It's just some sheet metal spanning the rails.

And here's the inside of the pack.

I picked up the tour pack off of Craigslist for like $80.  When I go it, it looked like this.......

I liked the way it wasn't just a "box" like so many other tour packs.  The size is generous to say the least.

The backrest pad also came off of Craigslist, from a different seller.  It was $25.

It's from a current Harley tour pack.  It's not an exact fit, but it's close.

A little paint, and I'm in business!

For the mounts, I had to custom make those.  It's actually seven total parts.  I'll take some pics tomorrow.....it's kinda hard to describe.  Cool?

It's not too hard to fab up.  I just used a drill and a grinder, thats it.

The wife wanted something sturdy and comfortable, as well as something that wrapped around her to hold her in a bit.
That's why I was curious about it. My wife wants the same thing. What did it cost you, if i might ask?
was it easy to install?

OK Where did you get the trunk on the back. I like it. With that maybe my wife would ride with me instead of the vette.

It's off of a '69 Harley.  The wife wanted something sturdy and comfortable, as well as something that wrapped around her to hold her in a bit.  She hadn't ridden until this summer and was nervous, ya know?  I wiil say, it seems comfortable to be when I tested it in the driveway, and I like the extra space to haul stuff.  It'll hold two full face helmets, a couple of coats, and some other stuff too.

As far as the windshield goes. One of the photos show something chrome colored, just above the handlebars ,centered on the inside of the windshield.

It's actually an old Harley spark plug box.

Thank You, but it's Kawasaki that did all the hard work! ;)

My whitewalls are Continental Milestones (Conti Milestones for short).  I've got nearly 8000 miles on then and they have lots of tread left.  In those pics they had about 7000 miles on them, and you can see the tread.  Lots of other Drifter riders like the Maxxis whilewalls.  I went with the Conti's over the Maxxxis because the Conti's supposedly have a bit more material in the sidewalls which gives them a little higher load carrying capacity.

As for the windshield, mine is the Fire & Steel Nomad style shield.

The bike looks good as a 2up too, either with or without a trunk.

Hey! Have you been taking pictures of my bike! That's scary, our bikes do look alot alike. I still don't know if I want to put saddlebags on yet. See you on the 3rd.

OK, so I've been meaning to get some new pics of the bike, and a few people have proven themselves to real gluttons for punishment, because they actually wanted to see what I looked like.  (Very scarry stuff there!)

So, here's some pics from today.........
