Yes, there is some improvement,,better throttle response and a little more "guts"

So did you see any noticable performance improvements? I've been thinking about getting one but not convienced that the improvements equale the costs

Yeah, the 9410 fits all vn800's including the Drifter. A lot of 800 owners have installed it.

The 800 Classic isn't fuel injected. It's the same kit for all 800 Classics - carb.

Is the 800 classic fuel injected? Does it list any other year drifters?

Kuryakyn doesn't list a kit for the 2004 800 Drifter. Will the 800 Classic work?
