Ceramic coating is a great way to go, and black looks right to me on the 1999 & 2000 models

- September 06, 2016, 11:59:06 AMi tried the VHT primer and heat paint at first. sanded and etched the chrome, cured them on the bike. it looked good for a few months then it started to chip away in places. went to a local guy and he ceramic coated them. still looks good.
i looked for new black pipes as well...i couldn't find much.
sounds like there are a few coaters in your area. best way to go, i think.
...don't forget new exhaust gaskets.

They usually are heavily backlogged as they do very good work.

The only set I see that comes black from the factory is Road Burner Exhaust Kawasaki VN1500 RB-035-8040. Does anyone know anything about these pipes, or where I can get a good set of black V&H or Cobras?
