Helmet is cool but is it DOT approved?
That's a good-looking pile of parts you have there, mittico!! I especially like that helmet..... do you mind telling us where you got it?
Update...
Here's the stuff I've been houndin' around for ma-deuce:
1st pic - a brand new repro of the old school clacson: and it works nice!
2nd pic - springs and bar for my home made solo seat (winter project)
3rd pic - a Kawasaki OEM spotlight bar (it was the black version, but in really bad shape, so now I'm cleanin' off all the rust and then I'll make it black powder again - winter project)
4th & 5th pics - a retro look helmet (it's got a little indian's head stamped on each of its 3 buttons)
6th pic - brand new california style floorboards! (the vendor's ad. was for 1500 Drifters fitment only, but I can assure you: they've been a smooth bolt on!).
3 hours from Rochester sounds about right. Like I said for us depending on weather is a huge factor. For you 3 there, 4 hours on the ground, 3 hours home and you have a nice 10 hour day , for us it is far more. Tomorrow I'll be in touch with Chris and get the timing down. I am going to opt for the Drive down Friday afternoon, spend a few hours wandering the halls, scope out were things are and then Sat hit the places we want to buy stuff at and then about 1400 head home......
I'll pm you my cell number later.
Quote from: CDNRatMan on December 18, 2015, 14:06:56 PMWe are trying to figure out the same. I figure with a half hour at the boarder, it will take us about 3 hours from Rochester. So, it is possible to do just the day I think. Meeting up would be neat!Yes have my tickets and just deciding if we are going to go up Friday, and spend Sat looking about and head home, or drive up early Sat look about and then spend the night and drive home Sunday. From my driveway to the International Center is just over 5 hours in good weather. Last time it was freezing rain on the drive down and took 7 hours, makes for a really long tiring day. I'll be there on Sat for sure as it stands now. I'll pm you later with a number you will be able to reach me at. and perhaps in the five halls we can met up.
Sounds like this one, might be more on face book but I an not on FB so don't know. They are saying there is a huge Vulcan riders gathering in WI the week before the Troll gathering......
There's a Vulcan Riders Group in my area. The FB site gets maybe 2 posts month . . . . from the same guy.
That is one forum, the UKVDOG is really quiet as is the Vulcan Riders Association of Canada......all really quiet.....
Quote from: CDNRatMan on December 17, 2015, 22:42:51 PMSadly this forum is a bee hive compared to 2 other bike forums I am on. I know a bunch of people here are suffering from PMS about this point in time:
PARKED MOTORCYCLE SYNDROME,
I am not yet I have a few small projects left to complete.
PC are you going to be in attendance at Troll's event in WI this summer?
Yea, you should see how dead it is on the Delphi drifter forum.... this thread alone makes for more posts than I see over there in about a month....
Cool story......

same also a Merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year to all.......
I think about all of us have had a story like that.
Okay, it HAS been very quiet here. Well, here's a story for you. . . . .
I had just come out of Tractor Supply the other day, and had just put my purchases in my saddle bags and trunk, when I heard the sound of screeching tires. I look over and there is a pickup truck in front of the store that threw it into reverse and was peeling out. His tires finally got some grip and the truck started to reverse. Then after going back about 50 feet at full speed, the guy puts it in drive, does a burn out and points his truck right toward me. I had no idea what I did to piss this guy off, but it looked like he was determined to run me and my bike over as he came at me at full speed. At the last second he turns the wheels, and slams on the brakes, screeching to a stop. I figured What's going to happen next?". The guy then looks at me and says "I saw your Indian and I just had to come over. I used to own four Indians". Whew! That was a relief that I was not about to be murdered.
So our conversation started the usual course we all have as our bikes are mistaken for Indians. I explained to him it was a Drifter. He asked me if it also had a Jap engine too. Oh well. I said, "Thankfully, it does!". Anyway, we probably talked bikes for about 20 minutes. He used to have a collection of Indians, Harleys, and Triumphs, but sold them when he stopped riding. The guy said he was 85, but he didn't look a day over 70.
Then in the curt style of many seniors, he said he couldn't waste any more time talking, as he had many errands to run. So we said our goodbyes and he drove off. Then I put my riding gear on, which took a few minutes. Just as I'm ready to start my bike, I noticed he turned around and had driven up along side of me again. He said "I just want to hear your engine when you start it.". So I started it and he a had a big grin on his face. I revved it a few times for good measure, to which he responded "Yup, sure sounds like a Harley too.". Oh well.

Well, anyway, that was my excitement for the day!
