Quote from: pcarrell on October 07, 2014, 16:46:01 PMI think I might go that route too on my Osprey bags. I wish this would work on other things I have sagging.Go to the store and get a couple of those plastic cutting boards used in the kitchen. They're dirt cheap, cutable, paintable, and they stick with glue better then metal.
I took the bags off the quick removal brackets and installed them with the factory loops, this morning. They now hang better, and don't look so saggy.....

Either it'll work, or it'll help but the problem will just move.

I'm pretty much settled on using 3/8" brake line, and some 3/4" flat stock I already have. What ever I do, it will be invisible...
For an internal frame you could use some small gauge PVC, might be a bit lighter than steel and easy to glue. Or mall gauge copper tubing which is easily soldered.
there's a couple of things I'm not too thrilled about, but on the whole, they look and work well. I'm going to make an internal frame to support them over the winter. Every set I've ever seen sags a bit over time, so mine won't...I'm thinking steel tubing, and rivets.....I have to have a project...
NICE, Troll. They look good.
They are almost big enough to put my old ones inside...19"x 7" x 12"....and the weather sealing seems like it will be pretty good. The weather here has been crap since I put them on, so I will be waiting a bit before I go grocery shopping with them. I'm sure they are bigger than the H-D hard bags on a 4 speed frame, since I have and still use a set of liners for them, and they are way smaller than the bags....Going on a trip out of town next weekend, so I'll get to see if my 17" laptop will fit....
They look awesome! How is the capacity?
My wife even noticed...must have been a big change!
They definitely complement the style of our bikes. Imho, the best looking bags out there. Only reason I got rid of mine is I put the vintage Harley bags on for more storage. Looks great, Troll
