I am getting ready to replace mine, as one is sheared off ,which won't be fun getting out, and the other two did the same thing as yours. Will let you know what I find out.
Have to deal with gas smell first,so may not be soon.

There is a tool called a thread guage. You line up the threads on the fitting with the correct guage, and its printed on the side what size and number of threads are. They usually come in a tap and die kit, or can be bought separetly.

Does anyone know the size of the grease fittings used on the 800?  There are three of them under the bike for the suspension and I am looking to replace them.  Went to lube it and the grease was coming back out of the fitting after I took the grease gun off, then continued to drip a bit.  Must be some dirt in there or something that is not allowing that ball to seal off the opening properly.  I dont want to mess things up ruin any threads :)

TIA
