Quote from: jmbo on January 04, 2014, 08:38:07 AMI'm working on it. I have a cast brass baseplate from a mid '50's Royal Enfield. There is a member of this forum who offered to CNC a brass plate insert with a Drifter logo in an Indian type face. I sent him a file and am waiting to hear if he can machine a plate according to the artwork. Here's is what I hope it will look lie.
Hi guys , the CNC guy was me, very sorry for being away. I've been remodeling an old house and it's finally ready, in fact moving last things and my laser in a few hours from now. The workshop has been stacked with gear til the house is finished so I've had no time for any shop work for a few months. The shop will now be about 15 feet from my back door so, happy days are here again, :- ). I'll make a point of getting a tank badge prototype and POW one for Driftr. My apologies guys.
Quote from: greenbarn on January 07, 2014, 21:39:12 PMI found a set of these on line, but they are original Indian and the want like 400 bucks for them. A little too expensive to be modifying to say "Drifter"....
GB my thoughts exactly . Someone on here has to have the capabilities to make these for lesser cost
.

Some really awesome looking ideas!
Quote from: greenbarn on January 04, 2014, 11:50:39 AMThat's pretty weird, D1... I had just seen the same badges on a google image search, and had the same thought!
Do you actually have a set? If they do, how do they fit the tank? That was my biggest obstacle in making up my 800 badges - tank fit.
GB no I don't have a set of these , but had them in my picture file for some time now . I don't have anyone around here to make a set for me . I'll keep an eye out to see if I can find one to match up with the tank . My vision is these would look relatively well on the tank .
Quote from: jmbo on May 22, 2013, 10:59:40 AMWhat a great job, if you ever bring these projects to life, i would definitely buy a couple of sets! Keep it up, and congrats! Here's the collection so far with one addition for side cover...

Really cool work! Congratulations....
Sorry, like others have said it is in the gallery section. If you would like to see it in person, I am just 15 minutes from Burlington. I think I saw your Drifter at Menard's last weekend!
