I'm interested in this also.....!
If I try it first, I'll post the outcome.....

Will do! Mt next purchase will be the saddlebag mounting brackets from Osprey, and then I'll be getting the Cobra guards. I'll post a reply as soon as I get and successfully mount them.

Let me know either way... work or not... so I can add that info to the mods/tips listing and cross-ref listing. I like to get info directly from someone who has done the mod.

Thanks for the reply chief! I suspected that it would work, but without having an 800 Classic at my disposal to take a couple of measurements I wasn't sure.

Several people have done it... I am not sure how much work was involved in getting them to fit - though from what I have heard it was not too difficult.

I was wondering if anyone has purchased the Cobra Freeway Bars that are sold for the Vulcan 800 Classic and mounted them to their 800 Drifter. In looking for Freeway bars, the only ones I've found are the ones sold by the guy in NJ and based on some negative comments I've read about some of his transactions (and the fact that I can get the Cobra bars for $75.00 less than the ones he offers) I just wanted to possibly verify that they will bolt up correctly without modification. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
