Is the ECU giving you a fault code for it?

You can't simply bypass the VDS... you have to insert a resistor or capacitor or something into the circuit. From historical info, all the Vulcans appear to share the same sensor. I know a sensor for a 2005 mean streak will work on a 99 1500 drifter. Apparently, there is a circuit board on this thing that has gone bad on some drifters... it cuts out the fuel pump so you get no fuel...

If you haven't done the ecu self-test you should do so... it will tell you if the VDS is bad. Otherwise, you can be replacing all sorts of parts without impacting the situation.

Anyone know if you can do away with this sensor.ie bypass this thing?  :o
