Thanks Troll.  Did you get the black ones?  If so, how has the black finish held up?

Black finish is fine, and the rubber is doing well, too.

They are just fine. I suspect that they are all made in the same Chinese factory, so I didn't want to pay for a name.

I believe SAC makes these in NY. Mine are 10 years old and are still in excellent condition. They are a bit expensive.

Have you looked in our Accessories Area? Info there may be of help.

I bought some of these several years ago and really like them. They aren't TOO "puffy" and not TOO hard.

No, they are a no name version of the Kuryakin grips. I didn't want chrome, so they are black. I think I got them on eBay a few years ago.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/224464775848?fits=Make%3AKawasaki&hash=item344324aaa8:g:yAcAAOSwgZxgn0r7

I have the real Kuryakin ones on my 01 but was wondering about the ones you linked to (Specifically the black ones).  How do you like them?

With my arthritis acting up, I'm looking at friendlier grips for my Drifter. Has anyone tried the memory foam Avon grips? If not them, does anyone have any recommendations for an older guy with a bad throttle hand? I've looked at adding the "paddle" to the throttle, but I'm unsure if it would be a nuisance when city riding.

Tks, Troll. When you say "puffy rubber filled aluminum grips" are they Avon?

Troll

I replaced the grips on mine with a set of the puffy rubber filled aluminum grips. I have a paddle on the throttle, as well. It was a little different, at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly. A lot depends on where you adjust the paddle. Too high, and it will be a problem, too low and it's not effective.
