Starter Problem 2001 Drifter 1500

Hope you've gotten this one figured out by now, Bigfoot.  I don't have a wiring diagram handy,  but I've heard a lot of issues over the years from the kickstand switch, and the clutch switch.

Starter is good. I can jump wires to get it to turn. I put a new Starter Relay on it, thinking that was the problem. No help. When I push the start button all I hear is one soft click from under the fuel tank. Any ideas. Battery and connections have been checked.
