Bucko, the Drifter 1500 spring is heavier... 11-1145. The one you indicate is a lighter spring Progressive recommends for the 800 and 1500 Classic. I don't have the specs, so don't know how they differ.

Thanks for respond Chief.  That's what I'm considering - I'm a big fan of Progressive springs.  I have a line on a new set of Progressive springs for a 1500 Classic and wondering if they'll fit my 1500 Drifter.  Partzilla shows the Classic and Drifter having different springs and I'm curious about the reason.

Edit: Just checked out the link you provided - the springs I have a line on are the 11-1126.  I thought they were also the replacement for the 1500 Classic  - the link shows them as replacements for the 800 - I need to recheck my info.

They are interchangeable. But, you might want to look at the Progressive Spring. I put one in mine ... 15 or so years ago and works great.

Anyone happen to know what the difference is between the OEM front springs for a Drifter 1500 and Classic 1500?  Partzilla shows different part numbers but I was always under the impression the front ends were basically the same (except for difference to accommodate the fenders).
