Well I found two guys who have them in 15/16" which if they set with set screws should work fine.
I can get some nice ones powder coated and made from steel or some cheap plastic ones chrome plated.
I want them in black, but I cant resist, the plastic ones are 1.50 each, lol I am going to check them out for size and install and if they work I ill leave them until they break or something happens to them.
I ill let you know how it works out.

What you see is the end of the axle. There should be a hole in it to stick a screw driver through to hold the axle while you are torquing the nut. I got a set of chrome axle covers on eBay last year for about $15. They attach with a small set screw to the nut on one side and the axle on the other. I put a dab of silicone adhesive inside when I put them on because I'm basically paranoid. I have seen the price for these things all over the map, so be patient and keep looking, they do exist. The axle and nut are the same part number for all the VN series, so that should make it easier to find something. As soon as it says "Drifter" the price goes up by a factor of 3. I bought a chrome billet oil cap for a nomad for $9.95.....same cap listed for a Drifter is like $30...I put the original oil cap in the final drive, and took the plain aluminum cap and put it on my W650 in place of the black plastic one....one size fits all.....

Hi all,
So I was thinking about a spike theme of sorts on my bike as I have lots of little places this will help with extra nuts and bolts that are visible and they will all match my grips.

I was looking today at the front tire/axle nut.'
On the rigth side it is a large nut, the other side is a smooth round cover I guess, I didnt try to mess with it I was just looking.
Are there covers for these on the drifters that anyone knows of.

I see them for other bikes and for lots of different sizes of nuts and bolts but with the drifter front being the way it is I couldnt find anything that looked like it would work, at least not for both sides.

I can most likely find one for the right side, it looks like  3/4" but I didnt check. but I dont know what to do with the other side.

Any info that someone might have on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
