yeah, that's a much more secure method than the single point kury adapter IMHO.

I follwed this (http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/floorboardadapter.html) and it worked well.  I opted to change the shape of the mount you make to a "T" shape, and I made it from steel.  It moved the floorboards down about 1 1/2" and forward about the same.  It leaves the area around the stock peg mount wide open.  Don't know if it'll work for you, but there it is.

(You can't see it real well in this pic, but it's the best I've got: http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/pcarrell/Drifter/Pipes.jpg )

I have kuryakyns on mine - mounts with single point adapter. They work, but I had to mess with it to keep it from turning.

Don't know if bars will impact installation.

Hi,  I need some help here to solve a problem.  I have a 2004 1500 Drifter with front and rear crash bars.  I want to remove the rear foot pegs and replace them with rear floor boards.  The rear crash bars lower mounting bracket attaches to the bolt from the foot peg so I will need a set of floor boards that mount as the foot peg mounts.  Can anyone help or give me any information on where I can get a set to replace my foot pegs with and retain the rear crash bars.  Thanks for any help.  Wildfire
