Adjusting Headlight

Results are in.............. 4" to high at 12.5'. No wonder i could see my headlight reflecting back off of 5' high road signs.
Easy to adjust once you find the head of the adjusting screw.

Hey thanks for that video. It seems to be inline with the Drifter manual. Manual says 2" drop at 25' Our UK friend says 20mm (25 is one inch) at 12'6" which equates to the same drop angle as manual. What makes me happy is that i can do this inside my 20' seacan during the day vs getting up at midnight to do it outside.

Just looked up the laws regarding headlights in my province of Alberta.
A driving light shall be no lower than 22" or higher than 55" on a vehicle.
Minimum illumination is 100' on low beam and 325' on high.
Nothing about max except it can't shine in the eyes of oncoming drivers

This guy is pretty technical, but you get the idea of how to properly adjust the M/C headlight. Remember, this is for riding on the "Left" side of the road. Yours will be down and to the right for North America.

Thanks for the specs.  Quick ciphering really doesn't equate to 1500' at a 2"drop per 25' , but sure will give it a try once it stops raining/snowing here.
Gonna have to stay up way past my bedtime as it doesn't get real dark until 11pm

Factory settings sound correct. This is a hybrid euro style beam with a cutoff in the low beam. The low beam should illuminate 850' down a straight road, the high beam, 1500' Set the adjustment up as described in the manual and check out the beam pattern after dark.

 The last couple of rides i have noticed that my headlight is flashing back  on road signs at quite a distance ( low beam)
Looked in the manual for adjustment and found that the bright spot on high beam is to be 2 inches lower, than the height of the center of the lens @25' (when rider is on the bike). Seems kinda low to me, especially living in deer and moose country.
Haven't ridden at night yet and haven't had Cagers flash me in the day. Gonna have to park infront of the Seacan some night and see exactly where it's pointing.
Anybody with comments on adjustment?
